National Need, Global Demand

Eco Energy S. C. will be a vertically integrated business in the production and marketing of biofuels. First
phase, the focus would be on the harvesting of Jatropha Curcas and Castor oil Plants. As a future plan, it
will also engage in edible oil seeds and cereal crops production for local and export market. The fuels to be extracted from the two types of non-edible plants would be for local and export market. It is expected that with its supply of biofuel products, Eco Energy will be contributing significantly to narrow the energy demand/supply gaps in the country and help minimize import dependence.

 

Objectives, Goals and Strategies

Eco Energy S.C. shall set out as a publicly owned biofuel producing and marketing company; and it will bestriving towards the realization of its vision of ultimately coming out as a competitive business of scale. It
shall be a company whose operations are vertically integrated through value chain processes of production
and marketing. Under this general strategic goal, the Company has laid out the objective of:

  • Contributing to minimize the country’s dependence on fuel imports, and thereby, helping spare the nation sizable foreign currency outflows;
  • Creating an agro-industry that will be increasingly competitive and profitable whereby its shareholders can draw attractive returns on their capital investments;
  • Partnering with local and foreign technologists and center of excellence to help foster innovations in the sector, so that biofuel could replace fossil fuels;
  • Upholding the utmost sense of Corporate Social Responsibility so as to help foster socio-economic harmony, wealth creation and environmental friendly.

 

Core operational activities shall include:

  • Cultivation of biofuel plants on non-arable lands;
  • Pressing oils from harvested feedstock and refining them at extraction plants;
  • Supplying the-ready-to-use biofuel for local and export markets;
  • Produce glycerin and fertilizers;
  • Engage also in edible oil seed cultivation for local and export markets;
  • Engage in the marketing of the biofuel, co-products and edible oil at own sales outlets or via businesspartners or other legal means;
  • Engage in food crops production and related agro-industry.
